چکیده
The FRBR model has the potential for new services and discovery techniques for cultural items such as books, movies and music. In this paper, we present an approach to interpret descriptions found in Web resources and identify the FRBR entities these pertain to. To verify the resulting set of FRBR entities, we have used the Linked Open Data and the veri cations have been validated by a group of experts. The results of this work demonstrates applicability of FRBR in a new context and establishes a rm basis for further exploitation.

Here, a collection of base functions and sub-functions configure the nodes of a web-based (digital)network representing functionalities. Each arc in the network is to be assigned as the link between two nodes. The aim is to find an optimal tree of functionalities in the network adding value to the product in the web environment. First, a purification process is performed in the product network ...

We describe an approach to extract attribute-value pairs from product descriptions on the Web. The goal is to augment product databases by representing each product as a set of such attribute-value pairs. Such a representation is useful for a variety of tasks where treating the product as a set of attribute-value pairs is more useful than as an atomic entity. Examples include product recommenda...
